President & CEO


Justin has a lifetime of experience working in agriculture and has spent time studying and evaluating agriculture operations in Panama, Brazil, Europe and Africa. His strong business background and experience with large corporations provide the foundation needed to be the CEO of GFS. His impressive leadership and people skills enable him to train and manage large self employed workforces and establish cross-cultural relationships in diverse and often remote environments with significant communication barriers.

A native of Iowa, he grew up working for Bruchside Farms, Inc, as an original business partner, and is still actively involved with the family farming operation in northwest Iowa. Upon completing his BS in Agronomy in 2000 from Iowa State University, he spent a year in New Jersey doing inside sales and marketing for Alpharma Animal Health. He then relocated to Fresno California in 2001 and managed a multi-million dollar territory covering four states. In 2004, Justin took on responsibilities for managing CA and AZ for Novartis Animal Health. Responsibilities included budgeting, sales, marketing funds and management responsibilities for a key Novartis distribution chain.

In 2007, Justin completed his MBA from California State University-Fresno. He then moved to Ukraine to found GFS. His initial GFS project was to manage a farm for Morgan Stanley in southern Ukraine. He then expanded his management and consulting work to include operations in Iowa, USA, throughout Ukraine and multiple countries in Africa. He currently resides in Lviv, Ukraine.

Vice President of Operations


Jason has been involved in Agriculture all his life and has experience in every component of the field including groundwork, management, and sales. In all aspects of his work, he strives to improve farming techniques, efficiency, and overall production through modern practices.

Jason came to GFS in 2010. He came with five prior years of extensive experience working in Ukraine. This included working as Production Manager for Kyiv Atlantic in Kyiv, Ukraine; Irrigation Manager for Equipment Direct USA in Odessa, Ukraine; Grain Operations Manager for Amber Agro. Ukraine in Yuzney, Ukraine; and Irrigations Projects Specialist for Global Farming Solutions. in Nikolayev, Ukraine. Before coming to Ukraine, Jason was the Daily Operations Manager for Crumly Farms, his family farm in Page, Nebraska, which operated a 400 head cattle enterprise and cropped 1000 hectares of corn and soybeans.

Jason graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He resides in Ukraine where he concentrates his energies both as Vice President of Operations for GFS and as Eastern Europe Territory Manager for AISco Europe.

Operations Manager

S. Africa

Wian is GFS’s operation manager. A native of South Africa, he brings a life long interest in agriculture that began there and expanded abroad.

Wian’s agricultural interests started during his schooling in the early nineties by helping with wheat harvest and other operations over summer holidays (wheat, maize and peanuts the main crops). After high school, he started work on a vegetable farm growing mostly potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots and cabbage. In 1998, he went to the US for a season of custom harvesting followed by working on a wheat and soy farm in South Dakota and a citrus operation in Florida. He then moved to the UK where he worked on a variety of farms, including strawberries, celery, potatoes and cereals.

In 2000, he returned to Nebraska to complete an Associates Degree in Agricultural Technology. He then worked as a technician at a John Deere dealership in Nebraska and then in the UK for two and half years.

In 2005, he returned to South Africa, where he worked for the South African distributor of Case IH in the Western Cape – an area known for wheat, dairy and wine farming. During this time, he also studied Marketing Management at Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

Equipment Specialist


Vladimir serves as farm manager for GFS operations in Ukraine. He has extensive experience in growing crops and strong skills in operating modern farm equipment. As a native of Ukraine with international experience, he is a key liaison for GFS in Ukraine. Prior to GFS, Vladimir worked as a veterinary assistant for swine and dairy operations in Ukraine. He also worked in swine production in Sweden and spent several years in Great Britain working in vegetable production and then dairy production.

Vladimir holds a doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine from Bila-Tserkva State Agricultural University, Ukraine. He is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, and English. Vladimir currently lives in Mykolayiv, Ukraine.

Purchasing and Data Management


Adele has worked at GFS since 2008 and serves as controller and head purchaser. Adele’s interests in agriculture stem from growing up on a family farm in Washington State. Prior to GFC, Adele spent 6 months working for Global Ag Investments, LLC, Brazil.

Adele graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Agriculture Technology and Management (AgTM); emphasis in International Business and Finance. As a university student, she held officer positions in the AgTM club and was a founding member of the Delta Sigma Pi co-ed Business Fraternity chapter in the northwest region of the United States. She has also served as Chief Executive Officer on the WSU student owned bookstore's Board of Directors. Adele was a student athlete for WSU's Varsity Women Rowing team. She is proficient in Portuguese and holds a working knowledge of Spanish and Russian.

Adele currently resides in Lviv, Ukraine.

Office Manager


Kathy is responsible for all of GFS’s business and administration management in USA. Kathy comes to GFS with over thirty years experience in business accounting, management and customer relations. Agriculture is also in her area of expertise as she and her husband, Dean, have farmed for over thirty years in Iowa.

Kathy grew up in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She is a graduate of Iowa Lakes Community College and currently resides in Emmetsburg with her husband and their two children, Michael and Brittany.
